Prototype donated to FEGA
New Zealander Andrew Biggs who is the sole engraver of Magrette timepieces has donated the prototype engraved Moko (tattoo) timepiece to the Firearms Engravers Guild of America (FEGA) to help celebrate their 30th anniversary.
Andrew has done much of his engraving training in, or via, the USA and is the first elected foreign member of the FEGA board of directors. He is also editor of the FEGA Engraver magazine and visits the USA often. Some of Andrew work, including Magrette timepieces is to be in the upcoming book from Blue Book Publications Inc. authored by Roger Bleile American Engravers-The 21st Century Andrew is the only foreigner to be featured as all the featured engravers are from the United States.

To compliment these wonderful pieces, we have placed them in handmade boxes that are crafted from timber, milled from the Kauri tree - a protected New Zealand native - engraved with our logo and inlaid with black New Zealand paua shell.

Giant Kauri trees were considered by Maori to be the kings of New Zealand forests. The Kauri is one of the largest and oldest growing trees in the world.
